Accessible Financial Literacy
During my time as a User Research Consultant at the Oxford Microfinance Consultancy, I had the opportunity to work with Haiti’s largest microfinance institution - Fonkoze. Scroll through to see how the research was planned and executed, what are learnings were, and some of my personal reflections.
In December 2017, after returning back home from Haiti I sat down to journal my reflections. I remember it was a miserable winter in the UK where I was studying abroad, a stark difference from the warm and sunny Haiti. The journal entries soon became a photo essay linked below. While I wasn’t formally trained at the time, this essay is a reminder that as researchers, we meet people (and not participants) and they often teach us more than what we learn from them.
